Head to head

Email Bump vs AWeber

AWeber caps sending at 10–12× your subscriber count and limits Lite to three automations. We don't cap either. Beyond that, the differences are landing pages, a done-for-you service, and a transactional API.

The short version

Which one you want, in three sentences

Pick AWeber if you want someone else to build it — the Done For You tier includes a 1:1 call and weekly newsletter drafts for $79 up front — or if you need landing pages and sales tracking in the same tool.

Pick Email Bump if the three-automation limit or the send multiplier is why you're shopping, or if you also send product email and would rather not pay a second provider for it.

Pick neither if you want the cheapest option, which is EmailOctopus at $9/mo, or the best free tier, which is Kit at 10,000 subscribers.

Against us

Two places AWeber is the better choice

Someone will set it up for you. The Done For You tier gets a human building your templates, running a 1:1 call and drafting your weekly newsletter. We have documentation and a CLI. For a small business without a marketer, that's a genuinely different offer.

Landing pages and sales tracking. Unlimited landing pages on Plus, plus sales tracking with a 0.6% transaction fee. We have neither, so replacing AWeber may mean adding another tool.

FAQ

Email Bump vs AWeber, asked and answered

Is Email Bump cheaper than AWeber?

At most list sizes yes — $19/mo covers 10,000 contacts here, where AWeber Lite is $35/mo at 2,500 subscribers. The gap widens as the list grows.

At 500 subscribers AWeber Lite is $15/mo, which is cheaper than our entry tier, though our free plan covers 5,000 contacts.

Can I import my AWeber subscribers?

Yes — a CSV export of subscribers, tags and custom fields imports cleanly. Take the export with subscription status attached so unsubscribes arrive as unsubscribes.

Do you have landing pages?

No. Email, inbound email, contacts, segments and flows. If AWeber is hosting your signup pages, you'd need to fill that gap elsewhere.
