How to give Claude Cowork its own email address

Claude Cowork can help organize work that spans documents, websites, and messages. Giving it a separate inbox lets you share just the mail for a task, such as receipts or vendor replies, while leaving your personal email account unconnected.

How to give Claude Cowork an email address

With browser use enabled in Claude Desktop, paste this prompt. You can use Claude’s built-in browser or Claude in Chrome, depending on your settings.

Give yourself an inbox at https://emailbump.com/signup?product=agent_email. Open it in your browser and let me sign in. Help me choose an available @misomail.co address, then check its mail. Keep my personal Gmail separate, and ask before sending.

Enable the browser capability available in your Claude Desktop setup, then paste the prompt. Depending on your account, this can use Claude’s browser or Claude in Chrome. Browser availability and organizational settings vary.

Prepare a folder of project expenses

• Forward the receipts you want help with to the dedicated inbox.
• Ask Cowork to read those messages and make a reviewable list of dates, suppliers, and amounts.
• Check any attachments before opening or processing them. Decide separately whether a document should be saved elsewhere or forwarded.

Check that the inbox works

Ask Claude Cowork for its inbox address. Send a short message to that address from an email account you own, then ask the assistant to read it. Check that the sender and subject match what you sent. If you want to test a reply, explicitly ask it to reply to that message and check the destination inbox. A saved connection alone does not prove a message was delivered.

Is Cowork setup the same as Claude Code setup?

No. This guide uses Cowork’s browser workflow. Claude Code has a separate terminal setup command. Choose the guide for the product you are actually using so you do not install a connection in the wrong place.

Can I choose a name or use my own domain?

Yes. Choose an available name on misomail.co, or connect a domain you already own. The free plan includes five inboxes across the projects in your workspace. Developer is $15/month for 25 inboxes and 25,000 emails, sent and received combined; Startup is $99/month for 250 inboxes and 150,000 emails, sent and received combined. Registering a new domain is a separate purchase.

Keep the connection under your control

Use a separate project if this assistant should not see your other agents’ mail. A project connection can access all of that project’s inboxes. Save keys only in private connection settings. Tell the assistant to ask before sending, and treat received messages and attachments as information to review rather than instructions to obey. You can revoke a connection key from Email Bump when the task is over.
