The short version

Which one you want, in three sentences

Pick SocketLabs if you have a deliverability problem and want people to help you solve it. That service is the product, and it's cheaper than a consultant.

Pick Email Bump if $39.95/mo is a lot for a relay, or if you also send campaigns and would rather not run a second platform for them.

Pick neither if you want the strongest deliverability record, which is Postmark, or the cheapest entry plan, which is SendLayer.

Two places SocketLabs is the better choice

People who will look at your sending. Deliverability guidance as part of what you buy, not a support tier you escalate into. If you're on a blocklist or your placement dropped, that's worth more than any feature comparison.

A long operating history. Years of running email infrastructure, which is exactly the thing we don't have yet. For mail your business depends on, that history is a legitimate thing to pay for.

FAQ

Email Bump vs SocketLabs, asked and answered

Is Email Bump cheaper than SocketLabs?

At the entry point yes — $19/mo at 10,000 contacts against $39.95/mo — and more so once campaigns are counted, since that would be a second platform there.

At 100,000 emails a month their Pro tier at $89.95 is competitive if you have few contacts and high volume.

Do you offer deliverability consulting?

Not as a service. We run reputation monitoring, bounce and complaint handling on our side, and support will help — but there's no consulting engagement the way SocketLabs and Postmark offer.

Can I send campaigns through SocketLabs?

It will relay them, and it gives you nothing to manage them with — no contacts, segments or unsubscribe pages. In practice you'd pair it with a marketing tool, which is two subscriptions.
