Head to head

Email Bump vs Sendy

Sendy is $69 once and your own labour. We're a subscription and none of it. Both send through Amazon SES underneath, so the comparison is entirely about who does the work.

Eight rows below, and the first is the one that matters: Sendy is far cheaper.

The short version

Which one you want, in three sentences

Pick Sendy if you have a large list, a server you already run, and someone comfortable owning deliverability. At high volume the saving is enormous and the arithmetic isn't close.

Pick Email Bump if you'd rather not patch a PHP app, need branching automation rather than autoresponders, or want someone else answering for inbox placement.

Pick listmonk if you want the self-hosted model without even the $69 — AGPL, one binary, and a more modern codebase than Sendy's.

Against us

Three places Sendy is the better choice

Price, by an enormous margin. $69 once against a monthly subscription forever. At 100,000 subscribers mailed monthly you're comparing about $10 a month to hundreds. There is no argument here and we won't invent one.

You own it. Your server, your database, your SES account, your data. No vendor can change the terms, raise the price or shut the account. For some teams that's the entire decision.

Multi-brand for agencies. Separate brands with separate SES credentials in one install. We have workspaces and projects but no reseller billing model.

FAQ

Email Bump vs Sendy, asked and answered

Is Email Bump more expensive than Sendy?

Dramatically, and it should be — you're paying for software you don't maintain and deliverability you don't own. $19/mo at 10,000 contacts against $69 once.

The question worth asking is what an evening spent on a blocklist removal is worth to you.

Can I import my Sendy lists?

Yes — Sendy exports CSVs of subscribers per list. Take the export with subscription status attached so unsubscribes arrive as unsubscribes.

Autoresponders would be rebuilt as flows, which is usually a quick job given how simple they are.

Do you also use Amazon SES?

Yes, us-east-1. So the pipe is the same — what differs is the software above it, the reputation management around it, and who gets paged when something goes wrong.
