Email Bump vs Mautic
Mautic is free software with no per-contact cost that you administer yourself. We're a hosted platform priced on contacts with sending included. The comparison is cost against operational load.
Eight rows below, including the three where Mautic wins outright.
Which one you want, in three sentences
Pick Mautic if you have a large list, a server administrator, and a genuine reason to keep customer data on your own infrastructure. The per-contact saving at scale is enormous.
Pick Email Bump if you'd rather not own cron, upgrades and inbox placement, and want a transactional API on the same plan as the campaigns.
Pick ActiveCampaign if what you want is Mautic's automation depth without either the server or our narrower feature set.

Three places Mautic is the better choice
No per-contact cost, at any size. A 500,000-name list costs the same as a 500-name one. Our top published tier is $399/mo at that size. If the list is large and the budget isn't, nothing we offer changes that arithmetic.
Lead scoring and landing pages. Both included, and neither exists here. For a marketing team that scores leads before handing them to sales, that's a functional gap rather than a price difference.
Your data stays on your infrastructure. Nothing leaves your servers except the mail. For a privacy review or a data-residency requirement, that's an answer we can't give — we're US-only and hosted.
Email Bump vs Mautic, asked and answered
Is Email Bump more expensive than Mautic?
Always, and it should be — Mautic's licence is free and you supply everything else. What the difference buys is not administering cron, not chasing upgrades, and not owning inbox placement.
At very large list sizes with a server administrator, Mautic wins on cost decisively.
Can I import my Mautic contacts?
Yes — a CSV of contacts, fields and segment membership imports cleanly. Take the export with subscription status attached so unsubscribes arrive as unsubscribes.
Campaigns rebuild as flows rather than importing, which is true between any two platforms.
Do you have lead scoring?
No. Contacts, custom fields, behavioural events and live segments — you can approximate scoring with a field you increment, and it isn't the same thing.
Mautic, ActiveCampaign and HubSpot all do it properly.
