The short version

Which one you want, in three sentences

Pick MailerSend if you want the cheapest possible transactional plan, if you need EU data handling, or if the 100 SMS a month is useful to you.

Pick Email Bump if you'd otherwise buy MailerSend and MailerLite, or if the daily API request cap and 7-day log retention are getting in your way.

Pick neither if you have volume and engineering time — Amazon SES at $0.16 per 1,000 beats both of us.

Against us

Three places MailerSend is the better choice

$5.60/mo. The cheapest real paid plan in this comparison. If 5,000 transactional emails a month is genuinely all you need and you have no list to speak of, nothing here beats that on price.

It's in the EU. US and EU regions against our us-east-1. If residency is a requirement, that decides it.

Templates non-engineers can edit, and SMS. Drag-and-drop transactional templates that a designer can change without a deploy, plus 100 SMS a month on every plan. We have a block editor and no SMS at all.

FAQ

Email Bump vs MailerSend, asked and answered

Is Email Bump cheaper than MailerSend?

Not at the entry point — $5.60/mo for 5,000 emails is cheaper than our $19/mo. It becomes cheaper the moment you'd also be buying MailerLite for campaigns, because that's two subscriptions against our one.

Our free plan is also considerably larger: 5,000 contacts and 5,000 emails against 500 emails.

Do you have a daily API rate limit?

No daily request cap. MailerSend allows 100 API requests a day on Free and 1,000 on Hobby, which is the limit people most often hit unexpectedly during a batch job.

Do you have SMS?

No. Email and inbound email only. MailerSend includes 100 SMS a month on every plan.
