Head to head

Email Bump vs Elastic Email

Elastic Email is one of the cheapest hosted ways to send a lot of email. We're not competing on that and won't pretend to.

Eight rows below, including the two where Elastic Email wins outright — price and sub-accounts.

The short version

Which one you want, in three sentences

Pick Elastic Email if volume-for-money is the deciding factor and you're comfortable managing your own deliverability, or if you're an agency who needs sub-accounts and reseller features.

Pick Email Bump if the mail matters — receipts, password resets, anything a customer waits for — and you'd rather the provider own reputation management, with campaigns on the same plan.

Pick neither if you want the strongest deliverability record, which is Postmark, or the lowest price with hard-policed infrastructure, which is Amazon SES.

Against us

Two places Elastic Email is the better choice

Raw price. $19/mo for 50,000 emails is roughly half what most hosted providers charge, and we don't sell email by volume at all. If cost per email is the metric you're optimising, they win and we're not going to construct an argument otherwise.

Sub-accounts and reseller features. Agencies reselling sending to clients get a proper model for it on Pro. We have workspaces and projects but no reseller billing, so that's a real gap.

FAQ

Email Bump vs Elastic Email, asked and answered

Is Email Bump cheaper than Elastic Email?

For pure volume, no — $19/mo for 50,000 emails is very hard to beat among hosted products.

For a product with a contact list, the comparison changes: $19/mo here covers 10,000 contacts with uncapped sending plus campaigns, flows and segments, which Elastic Email doesn't provide at any tier.

How do you handle deliverability differently?

We send through Amazon SES, which polices its own senders hard, and we monitor reputation, bounces and complaints on top of that. Accounts that behave badly get stopped rather than left to affect everyone else's placement.

That's a real cost we carry, and it's part of why we're more expensive per email.

Do you offer sub-accounts for agencies?

There are workspaces and projects, so client data and API keys stay separated. There's no reseller billing model, so if you're on-selling sending, Elastic Email's Pro tier is built for that and we aren't.
