Head to head

Email Bump vs Drip

Drip is ecommerce automation priced on active people with unlimited sending. We're lifecycle email priced on contacts with uncapped sending, and no ecommerce data model at all.

Eight rows below, including the two where Drip wins — starting with the fact that it knows what a product and an order are.

The short version

Which one you want, in three sentences

Pick Drip if you run a store and your automation branches on orders, products and onsite behaviour. The workflow builder is good and the ecommerce model is real.

Pick Email Bump if your triggers are product events rather than purchases, or if $39/mo at 2,500 contacts is more than the job is worth to you.

Pick neither if you want the deepest ecommerce tooling, which is Klaviyo, or the cheapest capable option, which is MailerLite or Sender.

Against us

Two places Drip is the better choice

It understands ecommerce and we don't. Orders, products, browsing and cart contents drive its segments and its emails. Ours would be approximations built on generic events. For a store, that difference shows up in every abandoned-cart email you send.

The workflow builder. Drip's visual builder is one of the better ones in this category — easier than ActiveCampaign's and more capable than ours. If you spend your week inside a flow editor, that matters more than the monthly price.

FAQ

Email Bump vs Drip, asked and answered

Is Email Bump cheaper than Drip?

Yes, at almost every size. $19/mo covers 10,000 contacts here against Drip's $39/mo at 2,500 people, and our free plan covers 5,000 contacts where Drip has none.

If you're using the ecommerce model, that price gap is explained by what's missing rather than by value.

Can Email Bump do abandoned cart emails?

It can send them from an event you track, but it can't reason about cart contents, inventory or attributed revenue. For merchandising products into the email, Drip, Klaviyo or Omnisend is the right tool.

Can I import my Drip subscribers?

Yes — a CSV export of people, tags and custom fields imports cleanly. Take the export with subscription status attached so unsubscribes arrive as unsubscribes.

Workflows rebuild rather than import, which is true between any two platforms.
