The short version

Which one you want, in three sentences

Pick Benchmark if you want one paid tier, no feature-gating puzzle, and a long-established vendor. Simplicity is worth something and they've had it for years.

Pick Email Bump if the send cap or the per-user charge is why you're looking, or if the list sits alongside a product that also needs receipts and password resets.

Pick neither if you want the best product at this price, which is MailerLite, or the cheapest, which is EmailOctopus.

Against us

Two places Benchmark Email is the better choice

One tier, no puzzle. Pro covers 2,500 to 100,000 contacts with the same feature set. No working out which tier unlocks segmentation. That clarity is genuinely valuable and most of this category has lost it.

A long, boring track record. Benchmark has been sending email for a long time without drama. We're newer, and for a business that just needs its campaigns to arrive, history counts.

FAQ

Email Bump vs Benchmark Email, asked and answered

Is Email Bump cheaper than Benchmark Email?

Usually, once seats are counted. Pro at $27/mo includes one user and charges $15 for each additional one, so a team of three is $57/mo. Ours is $19/mo at 10,000 contacts with unlimited seats.

At a single-user, low-contact setup, Benchmark's $27 is competitive.

Can I import my Benchmark contacts?

Yes — a CSV export of contacts and custom fields imports cleanly. Take the export with subscription status attached so unsubscribes arrive as unsubscribes.

Is there a send limit?

No multiplier. Sending is uncapped under fair use on every paid plan, where Benchmark Pro caps you at 10× your contact limit.
