Head to head

Email Bump vs AhaSend

AhaSend keeps European data in Europe. We send from us-east-1. For anyone with a residency requirement, that first row ends the comparison and everything else is academic.

The short version

Which one you want, in three sentences

Pick AhaSend if your data has to stay in Europe. We have no EU region and no plan to pretend otherwise, so this is not a close call.

Pick Email Bump if you also send campaigns and would rather not run a second platform for them, and US hosting is acceptable.

Pick neither if you want the longest retention in Europe, which is MailPace, or the cheapest EU rate, which is Scaleway TEM.

Against us

Two places AhaSend is the better choice

European data residency. Not just EU sending — the data stays in Europe. We're us-east-1 with no alternative. For a GDPR-driven requirement this is the entire decision and nothing we do changes it.

EUR billing and OIDC SSO. Euro invoicing removes a currency conversion for European finance teams, and single sign-on on the top tier is something we don't offer at any price.

FAQ

Email Bump vs AhaSend, asked and answered

Do you have an EU region?

No. Sending is from Amazon SES in us-east-1. AhaSend, MailPace, Scaleway TEM, Lettermint, Sweego, EmailLabs and Mailjet all host in Europe.

Is Email Bump cheaper than AhaSend?

For pure transactional relay at modest volume, AhaSend's free 1,000 and tiered plans are competitive and we don't sell email by volume.

For a product that also sends campaigns, we're cheaper, because that's a second platform there.

Do you support SSO?

No. AhaSend offers OIDC single sign-on on its Max plan. We have team accounts with unlimited seats but no SSO.
