## What the tool does

The generator turns a first name, optional middle and last names, and an email domain into up to eight ranked address ideas. It supports a custom domain, Gmail, Outlook, and iCloud; balanced, short, and distinctive ordering; and smart, dot, hyphen, or underscore separators.

Suggestions are generated entirely in the browser. Names and domains are not sent to Email Bump, an AI model, an email provider, or a mailbox server.

## When a name is already taken

Prefer a stable, meaningful qualifier before arbitrary digits. A middle initial, full middle name, second surname, role, or durable location is easier to explain and remember. Avoid birth years and other personal details that reveal more than the address needs to.

## Address versus sender name

The mailbox address controls routing; the From name is the visible identity recipients recognize in an inbox. For example, a campaign may use `maya@example.com` while displaying “Maya at Example.” Keep both stable and authenticate the sending domain. Address spelling cannot compensate for missing permission, poor authentication, or unhealthy sending behavior.

## International names

The browser tool normalizes common accented Latin characters and removes punctuation to create broadly compatible ASCII address ideas. Internationalized email addresses exist, but support and organizational policies vary; confirm compatibility before adopting them as a standard.

For a business, a custom domain usually creates a clearer, more portable identity. A reputable consumer provider remains appropriate for personal use. The domain alone does not establish trust.

### Are dots and plus tags separate Gmail addresses?

For personal `gmail.com` accounts, dots generally do not create different inboxes, and plus tags route into the same mailbox. Do not assume other providers and custom domains behave the same way.
